Brief Encounter

Brief Encounter has it all : the athleticism and breeding for eventing, and the looks to sire offspring for the show ring. He also has the temperament to combine his eventing and stud career and is currently competing at Intermediate level.

Brief Encounter is full brother to the well known HENRY TANKERVILLE, 8th at Badminton in 2007 and Bramham winner 2006, ridden by Andrew Nicholson.  He also has a sister in the USA, Java, a Grade A showjumper, previously in Robert Smith's yard before going to the States.

Brief Encounter as a 4 year old was 7th at the BYEH final and the top placed stallion.  He was graded with the BWBS in 2004 and was Champion Sport Horse.

His first crop of foals were born in 2007 and have exceeded all expectations.  His first foal to grace the showring is already a Champion in his own right whose successes include winning at Bath & West and takind 2nd at the National Championships.  Breeders who have used Brief Encounter are consistenly re-booking to him.  Here's what one mare owner had to say :
