Niagra B boasts many international jumping lines on both the sire
and dam sides. You can trace her father back to Furioso II, who
is considered one of the most influential sport horse sires in the
world. In 1989 Furioso II was the top sire in Germany based on money
earned by his progeny. His bloodlines can be found in almost all
recognised International studbooks in Europe. Furioso II Offsprings
include: For Pleasure - a member of the Gold-Medal winning German
show jumping team in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and the 2000 Sydney
Olympics, and named German horse of the year in 1995. Another son
of Furioso II is Voltaire who as an 8 year old jumped 1.50m courses
with a great deal of success. He showed his prowess in international
jumping in 1988 in Calgary, Stockholm, Lanaken, Helsinki, Weisbaden
and Wembley. In 1989 he brought his successful career to an end
by winning the Grand Prix of Berlin. Furioso II also produced 200
state premium mares and at least 68 approved stallions.
On Niagra B’s dam side is the world famous sire Ramiro Z, an international
show jumper and one of the world’s most influential sires. Ramiro
Z has sired many approved stallions, show jumpers, and international
dressage horses. Offsprings of Ramiro Z include Ratina Z, the winner
of the Olympic team gold and individual silver in Barcelona.
