Canadian Endurance Riders Set to Compete at North American Junior and Young Riders Championships

Endurance Canada is pleased to announce the riders representing Canada at the 2012 Adequan FEI North American Junior and Young Riders Championships. Presented by Gotham North, these Championships will be held July 17-22 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. Riders will compete for top honours in the NAJYRC-CH 4* FEI Championship. Two French Riders Topped the Meydan Open Riders World Ranking for FEI

Two French riders topped the Meydan Open Riders World Ranking for FEI year end results. Virginie Atger, who was ranked fifth in the world last year, topped the list in 2010 by just 14 points over fellow Frenchwoman Sarah Chakil. In 2010 Atger won a number of rides, including the CEI*** 160-km Sommant and 160-km Rambouillet in France. She also finished 10th in the World Endurance Championship in Lexington, Kentucky.

A Kutt Above and Jeremy Reynolds have been named to the US team's Long List for the 2012 FEI World Endurance Championships later this year, after victory in the recent 160km contest at the Priefert Ranch in Mt Pleasant, Texas.

In a close race to the finish Reynolds guided A Kutt Above to the win in 8:16:03, narrowly beating out Wendy MacCoubrey and Reach for the Gold (8:16:05) and Becky Hart riding No Repeat (8:16:09).
