Harry The Viking has been made 7-1 favourite for the Coral Scottish Grand National by the sponsors after he featured among 62 entries for the Ayr race on April 21.

Harry The Viking, part-owned by Sir Alex Ferguson, is also entered for the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown a week later but trainer Paul Nicholls has suggested he is more likely to race in the Scottish National.

The office of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has written to racing authorities to ask for an independent investigation into the deaths of 16 horses at the Aqueduct track in the last two and a half months.
