Virginie Atger aboard Azim du Floriva Win Team Silver in 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games

The Team Silver medal was awarded to France with a total time of 24 hours, 49 minutes and 46 seconds. The team was made up of Sarah Chakil aboard Sakalia, Virginie Atger aboard Azim du Florival and Cecile Miletto Mosti aboard Easy Fortnoire.

Senior endurance rider Christine Yeoman will contest her second World Equestrian Games after Endurance GB team selectors confirmed her place on the squad heading to Kentucky in September. "I am really proud to be part of what I believe is an exceptionally good team.

The host nation of Kazakhstan captured all the medals at the 2011 FEI Central Asian Endurance Championship staged in Talgar earlier this month. Altyngali Bissemaganbetov claimed gold, while Amangeldy Munaitbayev took silver and Kairzhan Andybay clinched the bronze. SUNDAY October 30 saw a group of determined riders take part in the 33rd Arab Marathon at Larkhill Racecourse, Salisbury. The event sponsored by South Essex Insurance Brokers (SEIB) boasted a first prize of £1,000. Two French riders topped the Meydan Open Riders World Ranking for FEI year end results. Virginie Atger, who was ranked fifth in the world last year, topped the list in 2010 by just 14 points over fellow Frenchwoman Sarah Chakil.
