This mare produced a nice champagne filly in 2006. She has been used as a broodmare only, and is not broke to ride, but was started some time ago with 3-4 weeks under saddle, no buck, so she could easily be started again. She is a big solid mare now and approximately 15.2 hh tall.Sadly lost her 2007 foal, but she is bred back for spring 2008 to a gold dun champagne son of PHBA World Champion Halter stallion My Skip Vanzi (AQHA Top Ten World Show, Superior Halter, World Champion Sire), who is by My Skip Ashwood (2x AQHA Top Ten World Show, Superior Halter, ROM Performance). Looken For Luck is out of a halter point earning daughter of AQHA High Point Halter Horse Skip My Cool (Superior Halter with 139.5 Points) who is also by My Skip Vanzi and out of Superior Halter mare Melody Beauty (86 Halter Points), a daughter of Top Ten World Show/Superior Halter stallion Beaus My Daddy (139 Halter Points) and out of a Superior Halter mare Dee Dee Melody (65 Halter and 48 Performance Points). GBH Driftwood Belle (2-in-1) / 2002 Buckskin Mare - American Quarter Horse Association # 4266942
Belle is a big solid-built buttermilk buckskin mare with a pretty frosted mane - and she always gets noticed in the pasture. She is a great-granddaughter of Top Ten World Show/Superior Reining/AQHA High Point Performance Horse Snippys Cowboy (22 Halter and 203 Performance Points, and sire of World Champion Offspring) who is a grandson of AQHA Hall of Fame/AQHA Champion Two Eyed Jack (#1 All-Time Leading Sire of AQHA Champions, and sire of the very first AQHA World Show Superhorse in 1978). Also just off her papers is Quick M Silver (Speed Index = 95, with 18 wins and $23,100 race earnings) among other halter horses and performers.
Her colt, born 4/11/07, is by a gold dun champagne son of PHBA World Champion Halter stallion My Skip Vanzi (AQHA Top Ten World Show, Superior Halter, World Champion Sire), who is by My Skip Ashwood (2x AQHA Top Ten World Show, Superior Halter, ROM Performance). The colt's sire is out of a halter point earning daughter of AQHA High Point Halter Horse Skip My Cool (Superior Halter with 139.5 Points) who is also by My Skip Vanzi and out of Superior Halter mare Melody Beauty (86 Halter Points), a daughter of Top Ten World Show/Superior Halter stallion Beaus My Daddy (139 Halter Points) and out of a Superior Halter mare Dee Dee Melody (65 Halter and 48 Performance Points). Also on his sire's papers is Real Luck (60 Halter and 14 Performance Points) who is by AQHA Champion Beatle Luck (Superior Halter with 303 Points, and ROM Performance with 48.5 Points).
Belle has been used as a broodmare only, and is not broke to ride, but still young enough to be, if desired. She does have a small scar on one hind pastern which has never caused her any problems or lameness, but is visible. She stands about 15.2 hh, and has been exposed to the same stallion for a 2008 foal. She can be purchased as a 2-in-1 to leave after weaning, or with her 2007 colt as a 3-in-1 package now.
Miss Dude Poco (2-in-1) / 2001 Gray Mare - American Quarter Horse Association # X0642958
Pretty gray appendix mare with a big soft eye. She is a great-granddaughter of Top Ten World Show/Superior Halter/AQHA Champion Smokey Duster Too (75 Halter and 46 AQHA Performance Points, and Sire to Supreme Champion, World Champion, and Superior Halter and Performance Offspring). She also carries some excellent foundation bloodlines such as Oklahoma Star, Poco Bueno, Blackburn, Joe Hancock, Leo, King, Blondys Dude, and Two Eyed Jack.
Her filly, born 4/15/07, is by a gold dun champagne son of the well-known champagne Halter stallion My Skip Ashwood (2x AQHA Top Ten World Show, Superior Halter, ROM Performance, and sire of My Skip Vanzi - PHBA World Champion, AQHA Top Ten World Show, Superior Halter). He is also a grandson of the great working cowhorse Bull Parker (AQHA High Point Performance Horse, AQHA Champion, ROM Performance, and sire of World and Reserve World Champion Offspring). He sired the first ever AQHA/ICHR-documented Champagne Grulla (aka Classic Dun Champagne) recently featured in the June 2007 issue of AQHA's America's Horse magazine.
She has been used as a broodmare only, and is not broke to ride. She is approximately 15.1 - 15.2 hh and has been exposed to the same stallion for a 2008 foal. She can be purchased as a 2-in-1 to leave after weaning, or with her 2007 filly as a 3-in-1 package now.
JJ Souther Pine - 2006 Roan Filly - American Quarter Horse Association # 487292
This filly, born 5/5/06, is by a deep golden palomino Skipper W bred stallion. In addition to his heavy Weiscamp breeding, her sire also is a great-grandson of Reserve World Champion/Superior Halter stallion Coosa (HYPP N/N, and sire of World Champion, Reserve World Champion, and Superior Halter and Performance Offspring). The filly's dam was a granddaughter of Superior Halter stallion Impressive Vince, with Impressive, Pretty Buck and Blackburn breeding (HYPP N/N).
Her color is a bit of a mystery! She is registered as a blue roan, but keeps changing colors and appears more likely to be a bay or buckskin roan. Latest (July) pictures sure look very golden-bodied like a buckskin roan would be! She should mature to around 15.0 - 15.2 hh, and should make an excellent Halter, Longeline, Performance, or All-Around prospect someday.
