Peter Heap Equestrian Services run a small team of professional employees, who have first hand experince in the equestrian construction industry. We hold a dedicated team, trained individually in the type of work they carry out. Consequently keeping costs to a minimum and keeping exceptional standards.

Following a site visit a quote will be prepared detailing the project in full with an exact cost.

The project will be carefully thought through and will be undertaken in the most practical way to keep the site in best order. In order to maintain high standards the project will be carefully supervised by myself, Peter Heap, at all stages.

With the majority of ménage construction being Machine work i.e. digging out, drainage and grading, it is imperative that an experienced machine operator is on site.

We will only employ machine operators with years of experience, as this is crucial when working with levels and keeping mess to a minimum.

We strongly believe that one of the most important factors of ménage construction is drainage. Peter Heap Equestrian Services will only use the highest quality of clean stone and sand as this is a key factor in drainage.

Nine out of ten ménages with flooding problems are normally down to pour build quality, wrong type of stone, wrong grade of sand, or no membrane. In some cases we have been called out to solve flooding problems where people have built the ménage below ground level, these are just a few of the many problems that you can encounter when attempting a self build. It is strongly recommended not to hire just anyone with an excavator, as ménage construction is a very specialist work line and should not be under estimated.

Regular maintenence on menages and surfaces will achieve a far greater life span.The depth of the surface shouldbe checked regularly and kept level. This will prevent any damage to membranes laid. Horses should not be lunged in one area of the arena all the time, when lunging horses, they should be worked up and down the arena to avoid any unneccessary tracking. Horse droppings should be removed promptly to avoid any contamination to the surface. Avoid using heavy machinery on the surface.

With years of experience in building developement, we can design, fabricate and fully erect any size building, to suit individual customers requirements.
