Charisma N Chrome and Dan Huss Win NRHA Derby Prime Time Open Championship
Dan Huss and Charisma N Chrome won the National Reining Horse Association Prime Time Open Championship, as determined by their go-round score. The title came with a $2,337 paycheck. Sharing the title were Show Your Guns (Colonels Smoking Gun [Gunner] x Good Time Show Girl x Hollywood Dun It), owned by Steven Harris DVM and ridden by Tim McQuay; Baja Hollywood Whiz (Topsail Whiz x Hollywood Stunt Girl x Hollywood Dun It), owned by Melissa and Robert Shearer and ridden by Huss; and Dual Rey Roo (Dual Rey x Roosters Chicaroo x Gallo Del Cielo), owned by Rancho El Fortin and shown by Jody Brainard.
Gus and Gaynia Revenberg, Oldcastle, Ontario, Canda, own Quistador (Conquistador Whiz x Miss N Becky x Okie Paul Quixote), a 2007 stallion. Michell Anne Kimball, Encinitas, Calif., owns the 4-year-old stallion Spooks Gotta Whiz (Spooks Gotta Gun x Prettywhizprettydoes x Topsail Whiz).

Chexy Whiz (Topsail Whiz x Chicks And Chex x Smart Chic Olena) and Melanie Wilhelm marked a 222 to gain the early lead in the $5,000-added Level 1 Open division. The 6-year-old mare is owned by Michelle George, Amarillo, Texas.
In the $5,000-added Prime Time Open division, Dan Huss and Charisma N Chrome (Custom Crome x Miss Sissy Gun x Gun Town) lead with a handicapped score of 223.5. The 2005 mare is owned by Marc Gordon, Elgin, Ill.
