Aesthete Stud - Miniature Horses

We run a small family stud , situated in North Lincolnshire , England.
Founded in 1988 , the stud originally bred Arabian & Partbred horses.
Based on Spanish , Jordanian, Polish & English bloodlines our horses were bred for beauty & performance. All being sold to family homes for breeding , showing , driving , eventing & jumping !

In 1992 we discovered the MINIATURE HORSE ! Our Anglo Arab mare had twins to a 17hh Hannovarian stallion , one foal was normal sized the other just 28" tall. After being rejected by her mother APRIL was adopted by a purebred Arab mare, at 6 months old she sustained a leg injury which needed six months box rest. She pined on her own so a miniature horse was purchased to keep her company. Both were the same height. APRIL matured to 14.2hh & her mini friend AESTHETE KNEEHIGH matured at 29" ! Once we descoved the beauty , intelligence & temperament of the miniature horse we were hooked.

After scouring the country we purchased our " horse of a life time " BLACKWATER TAROT

The stunning leopard spotted stallion became the foundation of our breeding programme. His many show ring successes ( which can be viewed on the stallion page) made him the most successful miniature of his time. His best acheivement was at UK/ USA Show where he won the miniature Championship , The Spotted Championship & The SUPREME CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS , a unanimous decision of six judges from around the world , from over 700 horses exhibited.

He was retired from showing in 1996 & his stock have proved themselves time & time again as show champions.
He was BSpPS LEADING sire 1999 , 2002 & 2004

Further horses were purchased & we now have small herds of British Miniatures , American Miniatures , Falabellas , British Spotted Ponies & Miniature Donkeys.

In our search for the best "Arabian type" refined miniature horse we have purchased horses from the UK , America & Europe. Combining theses bloodlines we aim to produce beautifull little horses.

We specialise in the spotted coat pattern , coloureds & Silvers as well as breeding the solid colour miniature. We are interested in genetics & can help with planning your breeding programme.

In 1994 we held the first ever miniature horse show for ALL BREEDS of miniature horse , pony & donkey. From small beginnings of just 20 exhibits at the first show , the ALL MINIATURE BREEDS SHOW has grown to being probably the best attended show for ALL BREEDS of miniature in Europe.

In 2004 we made the difficult decision to reduce some of our foundation stock. We want to show more , Jane wants to judge ( after passing her AMHA judges exam) & have more time to enjoy the remaining horses.
